The Death Penalty is one of the world's most highly debated topics.
For thousands of years, capital punishment has been used by countries around the world in order to punish criminals for certain crimes. The definitions of these crimes, called "capital offenses", have changed greatly throughout the years. Today, the use of executions against capital offenders has become biased and unfair, and is truly unfit for a country as advanced as the United States. Some of the methods used for this practice are not always effective. People believe that having the death penalty in place deters people from committing capital crimes, but this is not true, and the biased application of the death penalty violates the unalienable rights that are given to every human in this country. There are many different reasons why there needs to be a change, and why capital punishment should not be used in the United States anymore.
